FAQs

Common questions

Yes. Order before midday on WhatsApp and we'll aim for next day delivery across Wrexham and surrounding areas. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Hay is grass cut and dried to a low moisture content. Haylage is cut and baled at higher moisture, then wrapped to ferment. Haylage is higher in energy and more palatable — good for horses in work or animals needing extra condition. Hay suits horses on a restricted diet or those prone to weight gain. Think of hay as a black coffee and haylage as a latte — same base, different kick.
Round bales are from £60 each. Prices can vary depending on bale type, quantity, and delivery location — call or text us for the most up-to-date price before ordering. We'll always give you a clear price before anything is confirmed.
We deliver within about 25 minutes' drive of Worthenbury. That covers Wrexham, Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Tattenhall, Chirk and plenty of villages in between. If you're not sure, just message us and we'll check.
Just message us on WhatsApp and we'll check. If you're nearby we'll usually find a way. The list covers our regular routes but we're flexible for larger orders or new areas close to our zone.
Haylage is made from grass cut at a slightly higher moisture than hay, then wrapped in plastic to preserve it through fermentation. It is not better or worse — it depends on the animal. Horses doing light work or prone to laminitis do well on hay. Horses in harder work, or those who struggle with dust, often do better on haylage. We can advise if you're unsure.

Quick rule of thumb: a horse eats roughly 10 kg of hay a day, cattle a touch more, sheep about 2 kg, small animals barely anything. Multiply by the number of animals and the days you need to cover, and you've got a rough total. Use the tool below to do the maths for you.
